It’s Sunday
Yep, today is my favorite day of the week !
And today, for the very first time in a really long while I decided to slow down, to put myself first, and pay attention to the things that really matter in my life…
The simple things in life.
And to be honest, it’s been kind of out of control in the past week, punctuated with a particular not so good news that took me more than just breathing in and out and closing my eyes to calm down and feel better…

But here I am, happy and grateful for another week and most particularly this sunday, where I found the time to rest, a time to get away from all things manic, a time to remind myself to always love and honor me first, a time to convince myself to never lose sight of who I am in the midst of this chaotic life or lose sight of what I want and dream of…
So today, I spent the day at home, listening to the beautiful sound of silence, my new playlist and the echo of new ideas in the back of my brain… And it felt SO good !
I also cooked
, which is something I extremely enjoy but haven’t done in weeks and I’m still enjoying having my phone on silent and only checking it periodically to see the latest tweets and facebook notifications…
It may not sound like much of a day to you…But for me, it’s been the best of day of the week !
Today was a good Sunday

Amnesty International at 50 !
Fifty years ago one man’s outrage at the imprisonment of two students for raising a toast to freedom inspired a global movement. Together, we have successfully campaigned for the release of thousands of people, imprisoned just for voicing their opinions. Together, we have given hope to tens of thousands of women and men facing intimidation, violence, or even death. Together, we have made a difference to countless lives.
There will be many opportunities to get involved and take action during this anniversary year.
Here’s a glimpse of the tens of thousands of you who kicked off the celebrations by joining in another toast to freedom, 50 years on.
